Gallery Wall Update with Desenio

Gallery Wall

If you’ve been following along on my instagrams stories lately, you’ll know that I started to redecorate my house. I have to say this has been such a therapeutic process for me. When I first moved into my house, I was 9 months pregnant with my first daughter and as you can imagine, I had absolutely no energy to decorate anything. So, the excitement of being a first time homeowner just never hit for me.

8 years and 3 kids later, I finally find myself looking to finally make my house into a home. Don’t get me wrong, over the years, I attempted to add my personal touch by finding pieces I loved here and there. But now that I look back, I feel like I did things the wrong way. I never really considered what went with what and what my style even was. I knew I always loved the look of a gallery-style wall. I knew exactly where I wanted one and how I wanted it to look. But 8 years later, I found that the one that I put together back in 2013 needed an update. After finding Desenio, I fell in love with the modern simplistic black and white vibe. So, I decided to recreate my own in my dining room area.

Desenio is literally the best destination for wall art. There are so many gorgeous prints to choose from, so many styles and colors,  there’s literally something for everyone. I loved the simplicity of their frames and I especially love that they were not glass, making them kid safe. Instead of glass, they come with plexiglass which is a flexible, lightweight plastic alternative to glass. After putting my new frames up, my dining room area instantly felt so much more chic and elevated. With new furniture on the way, I cannot wait to see how this space turns out.

A few things I loved about Desenio were that shipping was so fast. I received my package in about 5 days. I also really love that their website features such a wide range of styles, colors and choice in terms of prints and frames. I did end up picking up a few prints for my bedroom as well and I must say they are going to add such a beautiful touch to my bedroom and closet.  Desenio’s prints are also super easy to fit with the frames. The backs have several push clips which keep the hardback layer correctly in place which I found simple to use.

I also really appreciate that if you’re not sure about what artwork goes with what online, Desenio has a gallery wall simulator where you can choose a template, then add your chosen prints to see how the finished wall would look.. The prints also arrived in a hard, protective cardboard envelope to protect them from bending during transport.

When it came to actually putting up the frames, luckily Nuni was able to come over and help me put it all together and make sure I had it all symmetrical. If you’re interested in seeing the actual process, be sure to check out my youtube video here.

All in all, I’m obsessed with how this area turned out. I can’t wait to see how it all looks once my furniture is in. If you’re in the market for wall art or frames, I highly recommend Desenio.
