As my belly expands to make room for my growing baby, this causes my skin to drastically stretch. With that being said, I have experienced a bit of an itchy sensation as well as some dryness around my belly. I’ve learned very early on, that scratching this area will only cause damage to your skin. What helps me is focusing on moisturizing. Since oils have been known to effectively soothe dry skin, I only moisturize using oils around my growing belly. The Fresh Sugar Ultra-Nourishing Oil is perfect as it is a non-greasy formula that provides just the right amount of hydration. The sugar ingredient is also helpful in treating skin irritation so I found it helpful in reducing the itchiness. I use this oil in the mornings and also before bed each day. I’m grateful to report that through it all, I’ve managed to stay stretch mark free through out all of my pregnancies. Another perk is that this oil smells amazing!
During pregnancy I suffer from swollen feet. Most of my shoes become uncomfortable during the last two months of my pregnancy. Luckily for me, it’s summer time which means I can wear open/comfortable shoes. Since slides have been super popular this season, I purchased a couple of pairs. The Givenchy slides have been my go to for the last few weeks as they are super soft/bendable. I love that they are not stiff like other trendy rubber slides. I also love that they are versatile and can be worn with almost anything.
I’ve had these same pair of boyfriend jeans that I purchased at a vintage store since my first pregnancy. I love the wash. I feel this fit can be styled with most looks and best of all, they are super comfortable. These have been my go-to pair of jeans as they are super worn in and hang right below my belly perfectly.
White shirts are my all time favorite item of clothing. I own a white shirt in just about every silhouette and style. They are just timeless and chic. They are perfect for any occasion and can fit perfectly into any style. Most days, you can catch me in an oversized button up white shirt and a good quality pair of black leggings/jeans and some sandals. It’s the easiest way to look put together and chic.
I LOVE ICE CREAM!!! Especially when I’m pregnant. Thank you to Halo Top Ice cream for making it possible to enjoy an entire pint without feeling embarrassed about it. I’ve tried most of the flavors. And so far, my favorite is the Pistachio. The entire pint contains 240 Calories. And best of all it has 20 grams of protein. I’m always trying to control my sugar intake so I’m glad that this brand also has low sugar/carbs and no synthetic growth hormones.
