Animal Print is the New Neutral

This season, we’ve seen many many many different iterations of the animal print craze. From the explosion of snakeskin print looks at Zara to the zebra stripes and leopard spots on everything at Asos, it seems like we just can’t get away from this trend. 

Out of all the animal prints, to us the leopard print has always been in style. In fact it has always been somewhat of a neutral. It’s chic, timeless and can instantly elevate any outfit. Remember Kate Moss? All she wore was blue jeans and leopard coats…and she always looked so effortlessly cool. 

Here are 4 reasons why we think leopard should be considered a Neutral:

It looks great on everyone. No matter what skin tone you are, leopard print literally looks great on everyone. 

This print is comprised of 2 of the most classic colors in fashion. The colors Black & Brown can easily be worn with many other color combinations and families. 

This print can easily be worn with other prints. Take for example a floral dress worn underneath a leopard print faux fur jacket. Instant win!

You can wear head to toe leopard and still look chic. Just think of Shania Twain in the That Don’t Impress me Much video or Gigi on the runway for the A/W18 Max Mara show. Some might frown upon this idea and call it too much or too extra. But we’re totally here for it and would rock it any day of the week.

We can go on and on about how fabulous leopard print can be and all of the different ways one can incorporate it in to their wardrobe. But instead, we’ll share with you our list of favorite animal print pieces at the moment and how we love to style them both during nighttime and daytime.
